Sensory Bags

Sensory Bags are a great way to entertain your Baby Room, it is mess free and still gives them the opportunity to explore different textures and develop their learning. These bags give you the opportunity to add anything that may be topical or add in items that they are interested in. Most of you will have all these items in the setting and they are very easy to make!

What you will need:

  • Freezer Bags
  • Water/Hair Gel/ Paint
  • Food Colouring (optional)
  • Glitter
  • Other topical items
  • Sellotape

Method:

  • Take a freezer bag and add the glitter and topical items
  • Then fill a 1/3 of the bag with water/hair gel/paint
  • Add the food colouring (optional)
  • Seel the bag and tape over the seel to ensure it is secure
  • Seel all four sides with Sellotape
  • If needed add to a second freezer bag for extra security
  • Your sensory bag is ready to play with

TOP TIP: For the younger children tape the sensory bag to the wall or table to ensure it does not burst.
