Are you looking for a new position within Nursery Management? If so, this may be the role for you!
This Hampton based Pre-School requires a reliable, personable and experienced Nursery Manager to manage the day-to-day running of their setting and lead their team.
The setting provides care for up to 28 children aged 2 – 4 years old. This role is 35 hours a week for 38 weeks and is operational 8:45am – 2:30pm, with an early finish at 12pm on Fridays. You will also be expected to work 40 hours a week during the holiday periods managing the Holiday Club with occasional weekend work.
In this you role will be responsible for all staff and children in the setting and ensuring that the daily running of the setting is smooth and efficient.
Your day-to-day role will include;
Overseeing the care of all children attending the settings
Overseeing the curriculum and ensuring all the children reach their highest potential throughout their development
Ensuring the children have a safe and stimulating environment
Check orders for equipment and resources, prior to orders being placed
Update the website and Intranet so that information is always up to date
Recruit and induct staff
Conduct Annual Performance reviews/probation reviews
Manage rotas, audits, staff cover, and absence for sickness and annual leave
Analyse and reforecast the Nursery budget each month
Complete health and safety checks on a daily basis
Ensure each child is given praise and encouragement and provide opportunities to succeed in environments where positive behaviour is promoted
General office administration duties
Show prospective parents around promoting the benefits of the nursery

A successful candidate must have;
Relevant managerial experience
A Childcare and Education qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Minimum of 1 years’ post-qualifying experience working with children aged 0-5 years
Excellent knowledge & practice of the EYFS Framework, OFSTED Early Years Inspection Requirements
The ability to proficiently use IT systems; including working with databases,, Microsoft office, email, internet
Excellent knowledge of Safeguarding and Welfare issues concerning children
Commitment to promoting the welfare of children
Passion for working with babies and children
Enthusiastic attitude and sound knowledge towards child development for children aged 0-5 years
The ability to form non-judgmental and constructive relationships, especially with vulnerable people, whilst holding clear boundaries
Good planning and organisational skills in order to manage a busy and varied workload
