Job description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Nursery setting looking for a permanent and experienced part time Nursery Nurse to join their team.

This setting is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 – 18:00 and caters for up to 25 children a day aged 10 months – 5 years. The setting has a free flow system and operates out of two adjoining buildings, where the children have access to a charming and large outside space. The surrounding area to the setting is beautiful and scenic.

The Nursery is easily accessible by public transport from multiple surrounding stations and is also close to local amenities. Your role will include the daily care of the children in the setting and ensuring all age groups of children are given the opportunity to carry out activities throughout their routine using the EYFS curriculum.

Salary & benefits include:

  • £9 - £10 per hour depending on experience

  • Part time 24 - 30 hours a week

  • Open 48 weeks a year with 2 weeks off for summer, 1 week for Easter and 1 for Christmas

Your role will include:

  • Ensuring the children across all age groups reach their highest potential throughout their development

  • Providing high quality care for the children within the settings

  • Building and maintaining good relationships with children and parents, attending parent and staff meetings

  • Implementing the EYFS curriculum, completing observations, planning and any additional paperwork for your key children

  • Ensuring the children have a safe and stimulating environment at all times

  • Supporting children with additional needs and IEP’s

 

All candidates must have:

  • A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare & Education or equivalent

  • An up-to-date DBS

  • Previous experience within a setting

  • The ability to work well in a team

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, Ofsted & Safeguarding

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • A positive & friendly nature with a passion for childcare
