Are you an experienced and self-motivated Baby Room Leader? Then we have the job for you!

 

Well established Nursery in Kennington is looking for an experienced Baby Room Leader to join their team. The setting operates for 51 weeks of the year and is open Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:45 and caters for up to 49 children aged 3 months to 5 years old with an After School Club facility onsite.

The setting is situated within a Church with rooms that are divided into two age groups one open plan room for Babies and Toddlers up to 3 years old and the other for the Pre-School children aged 3-5 years old. Each area inside and out is set up with engaging activities that are designed to promote children’s development across all seven areas of learning in the EYFS Curriculum.

They are currently looking for a self-motivated Baby Room Leader, one to work in their Baby and Toddler Room. You will be responsible for supporting a small team and ensuring the children reach their next steps within their development, as well as looking after and caring for key children your own.

Your role will include:

  • Providing high quality care  for all children
  • Planning exciting and age appropriate activities in line with the EYFS Curriculum
  • Observing the children’s development and planning their next steps
  • Working alongside the Management team
  • Supporting and managing staff members within the setting
  • Maintaining children’s records ensuring Progress Checks are carried out
  • Supporting parents with any queries or concerns
  • Ensuring parents and children feel supported through the weaning process
  • Showing potential parents around the setting
  • Following the Nurseries policies and procedures
  • Carrying out risk assessments throughout the nursery
  • Opportunities for to develop your career

All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or Equivalent
  • Previous Room Leader experience
  • Experience of working with children under 2 years old
  • The desire to develop their career
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum and Safeguarding
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
