Job Description

StaffBank are recruiting on behalf of a nursery based within Mitcham to find an enthusiastic and motivated Baby Room leader to join their home from home setting. They are offering a competitive salary and the days you work can be flexible.

This nursery is situated in Mitcham is looking for an experienced Baby Room leader. The nursery is operational 51 weeks of the year and it is closed over the Christmas break. They are open Monday – Friday 08:00 – 18:00 and cater for 27 children a day.

The nursery is well established within the community and has been operating since 2008. The nursery is within a converted house that has 3 separate rooms. It has a large outdoor area with lots of room for the children to explore. They have lots of local parks and play areas in walking distance and a local farm they can go to feed the animals.

Your role will include:

  • Ensuring all the children reach their highest potential throughout their development
  • Providing high quality care for the children within the setting
  • Ensuring the children have a safe and stimulating environment
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with children and their parents
  • Following the nurseries policies and procedures
  • Completing risk assessments within the room and the garden
  • Encouraging early walkers
  • Supporting children and parents with weaning

 

All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 years relevant experience within an Early Years setting
  • The ability to run a small team
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Great communication skills
