Job Description

Outstanding nursery situated in Islington is looking for a Room Leader and an Early Years Practitioner to join their Baby room team. The nursery is operational for 49 weeks a year, and is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 18:00, closing for Easter, Christmas breaks and all Bank Holidays. The nursery caters for up to 40 children and provides childcare for children aged 0 to 5 years old.

The setting is open plan and provides ample opportunity for group work where children of all ages play and learn together. This allows them freedom to choose and time to discover their place in the world, as responsible, confident individuals who are well equipped for life. The setting has 2 separate rooms for babies and can have up to 9 each day, one room is a messy play area and the second room also has changing facilities.

The position will be working within their baby room to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the setting. You will be responsible for 6/7 key children and you will ensure the children are developing in line with the EYFS curriculum and reaching their development milestones. The nursery are looking for someone who a lot of energy, patience and tolerance and a sense of fun.

  • Following the nurseries policies and procedure throughout the setting

 

All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • Experience of working with 0-5 years olds
  • At least 1 years relevant experience within an Early Years setting
  • The ability to work well within a team
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Great communication skills both written and verbal
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and imagination.
