Early Years Educator in Battersea

StaffBank are recruiting on behalf of a creative Pre-School. We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Educator who thinks outside the box with a passion to teach and care for children. This Pre-School is open Monday to Friday 07:30 – 18:30 & 51 weeks of the year.

This Pre-School is in a great location just a short walk from the station. They are looking to grow their vision into mainstream early years and need someone who can take a hands on approach while following the EYFS framework to enhance development through fun.

Salary and benefits:

Your role will include:

  • Promoting and implementing the Pre-School vision, with a clear focus on children’s development
  • Working alongside other foundation stage/Pre-School staff as part of a team committed to working towards the positive outcomes of the foundation stage curriculum
  • Maintain Early Years Profile booklets of each child
  • Attending an termly parent evening’s and ensure end of term reports are up to date
  • Stimulate and nurture your key children’s learning journey throughout the day
  • Ensure risk assessments are carried out daily
  • Attending in-service training, staff meetings and other meetings
  • Carrying out duties as required by the manager that is reasonable and is within the remit of the position
  • Working with specific group of children as their ‘Early Years Educator’   
  • Following the nurseries policies and procedures throughout the setting
  • Working as a team
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with children and parents
  • Providing exciting activities for all the children

    All candidates must have:
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 year’s relevant experience within an Early Years setting
  • GCSE Maths and English, C and above
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Great communication skills
  • Positive & friendly nature
  • Ability to identify priorities and meet outcomes
