Are you a Level 2 Nursery Assistant living in or around Islington?

Do you want a new and exciting position?

This Nursery situated Islington is operational 07:30 – 18:30 catering for 36 children from 3 months to 5 years. It has great transport links and is very accessible.

The setting is seeking an enthusiastic Level 2 Nursery Assistant to join their team. 

Your role will be working with the under 2’s providing a wealth of opportunities for children to explore and learn through play within the EYFS framework.  You will be a key worker for a small group of children, observing and planning in accordance to the children’s individual needs supporting them in reaching their full potential ensuring that children’s learning journals are kept up to date. You will need to have good communication skills building relationships with children and parents.

A successful candidates must have the following:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 2 year’s relevant experience within an Early Years setting
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and Statutory requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working with the Under 2’s
  • The ability to work in a small team
  • Excellent understanding of safeguarding children and adults
  • Willingness
