Nursery Manager needed in Battersea

This Pre-School is looking for a Nursery Manager to join their team from Monday to Friday 07:30 – 18:30 for 51 weeks of the year. This Pre-School runs a unique program that uses music, movement and outdoor learning to teach the seven areas of the Early Years Curriculum as they believe the children gain the essential life skills, such as building confidence, teamwork and problem solving to lead happy creative lives in whatever path they choose.

The Nursery is easily accessible by bus and is close to the local train station. You will need to build positive relationships with the parents and ensure the children are given the opportunity to carry out child led activities throughout their routine using the EYFS curriculum.

Your role will include:

  • Providing high quality care for the children within the setting
  • Following the nurseries policies and procedures throughout the setting
  • Working as a team
  • Ensuring that children are cared for in a happy and safe environment
  • Assisting and supporting other staff within the setting
  • Discussing the children’s progress with their parents or guardians
  • Plan lead and attend staff meetings, training course and parents evening’s
  • To be responsible for the day to day running of the Nursery
  • Lead planning of the EYFS curriculum and maintain accurate and effective children’s records
  • Support develop good practice with regards to SEN and inclusion
  • Carrying out ‘baseline assessments’ on entry to the Pre-School. To monitor and assess ongoing child development, including target setting.


All candidates must have:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare or equivalent
  • GCSE Maths and English, C and above
  • An unrivalled dedication to deliver exceptional childcare
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Clear and demonstrable management and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Ofsted standards and requirements
  • Up to date knowledge of EYFS framework and regulations
  • Ability to identify priorities and meet outcomes
