Are you looking for a Nursery Nurse role in Reigate? We have the position for YOU!

This large nursery situated in Reigate is looking for a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join their team. The nursery is operational 52 weeks a year Monday to Friday 07:30 to 18:00 and cater for children aged three months to five years.

The nursery is open plan with four age appropriate and well-resourced areas for the children and provide educational activities to enhance the children’s learning and development and enable them to develop at their own pace. They also have a large garden which has various flooring, a planting area along with a variety of outdoor toys to enable the children to experience different environments.

Your role will be working with the Babies which can hold up to 24 children across two areas and they are aged between 3 months to 18 months old. You will need to help the children reach their highest potential at all times throughout their development.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with all the children, staff and parents
  • Providing high quality care for all the children within the nursery
  • Planning educational activities for all the children
  • Observing the children’s development using the EYFS and planning their next steps
  • Assisting with settling in of new babies and supporting the parents throughout
  • Discussing the children’s development with outside agencies when required
  • Understanding each child’s individual needs and use IEP’s were necessary
  • Participating in parent and staff meetings
  • Carrying out risk assesments throughout the nursery
  • Ensuring the children have a safe and engaging environment
  • Following and implementing the nursery policies and procedures
  • Working effectively as part of a team

All candidates must have:

  • A minimum of a Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least one years experience within an Early Years setting
  • Experience working with Babies
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and Safeguarding
