Job Description

StaffBank are working on before of a nursery situated in Isleworth who are currently looking for two enthusiastic Level 3 practitioners to join their team. They are offering £16-19,000 per annum depending on experience and will work on a shift pattern between the hours of 08:00 – 18:00.

The nursery is located close to Isleworth town and they provide care for 52 children a day aged 9 months to 5 years old. They have 3 age appropriate rooms for the children to learn and develop at their own pace. They also have a large outdoor area which provides large outdoor equiptment including a climbing frame. They strive to ensure the children reach their highest potential and ensure they keep a “Good” Ofsted at the setting at all times.   

They have 2 positions available, one is based within the Baby Room working with children aged 9 months – 2 years, ensuring the children are developing their fine and gross motor skills and developing their communication. One position based in their Pre-School working with children aged 3-5 years old, supporting the children in the preparation for school.

Your role will include:

  • Meeting all the emotional, physical, social and intellectual needs of the children
  • Encouraging and promoting the children’s learning and development
  • Spending quality time with the children getting to know them and understanding their needs
  • Planning activities in accordance to the 7 areas of leaning in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Maintaining daily records on the children and giving the information to their parents daily
  • Monitor and reporting of staff performance with their key children folders and planning
  • Encouraging children’s independence at all times
  • Working in partnership with parents and listening to their needs
  • Assisting in all meal times and supporting children with nappy changes and toilet training
  • Ensuring resources within the room are rotated regularly
  • Following the nurseries policies and procedures throughout the setting
  • Being a key holder, opening and closing the nursery


All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 or above in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 years experience within an Early Years setting
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS & statutory requirements
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • The ability to  Lead a team & mentor staff
  • The ability to plan and organise workload
  • Experience of working in accordance with Ofsted and EYFS standards.
