Job Description

An established Nursery in Isleworth are currently looking for an experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join their team. The setting is operational 51 weeks of the year Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 18:00 and caters for 30 children aged 0 to 5 years.

The setting provides developmental appropriate activities with a balance of Child initiated and adult led play. Rooms within the nursery provide a wide range of resources and equipment to meet the children’s individual needs.

The position is working with children ages 2-5 within the Pre-School Room which caters for 30 children a day. You will need to ensure that that the children reach their developmental milestones through their learning and development and accompany the Forest School leader on their week’s lessons to the local park.

Your role will include:

  • Ensuring all the children reach their highest potential throughout their development
  • Providing high quality care for the children within the setting
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with children and parents
  • Implementing the EYFS Curriculum
  • Providing exciting activities for all the children
  • Observing key children, assessing development and keeping up to date record
  • Supporting the children with nappy changing and toilet training
  • Discussing the children’s progress with their parents or guardians
  • Following the nurseries policies and procedures throughout the setting
  • Ensuring the children have a safe and stimulating environment
  • Attending parent and staff meetings

 

 

All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 years relevant experience within the Early years setting
  • Previous experience as a key person
  • The ability to work in a team
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Curriculum
  • Great communication skills both verbal and written
