Job Description

Are you an experienced Nursery Nurse looking for a new role and an excellent salary starting from £18,000 - £27,000 depending on experience. This nursery situated close to St Paul’s station is looking for an energetic pro-active Nursery Nurse to join the team. They are operational all year round Monday-Friday, 08:00 – 18:00 for 51 week off the year and caters for 75 children. The nursery also has a Stay & Play session for children 6 months to 2 years and play scheme during the holidays for children up to the ages of 12 depending on availability.

This busy Nursery situated within the heart of London has two units to the nursery ground floor unit for the babies and toddlers and the pre-school high walk unit for the pre-school children. The nursery is close to the Museum of London and a short walk to the River Thames, children are given opportunities to explore the community and environment they are within. This bilingual nursery specialises in Mandarin and follows the EYFS curriculum.

Your role will be responsible for working in line with the EYFS & Statutory requirements, you will be a keyworker for a group of children and ensure that children’s development is monitored and recorded through the EYFS curriculum. Support children in learning Mandarin, planning preparing activities that meets the needs of the children. Working within a team and independently building positive partnerships with parents.

All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 or above in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS & statutory requirements
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Experience of working in accordance with Ofsted
  • Excellent partnership with parents
  • Fluent in Mandarin or a willing to learn
