Job Description

A well established Nursery situated in Camden is currently recruiting for a qualified Level 3 Nursery Nurse to join their Pre-School Room. The nursery is operational Monday to Friday 07:30-18:00, 51 weeks of the year and is closed for one week during the Christmas Period. The setting caters for 36 children aged between 18 months to 5 years old.

The setting is situated within a large newly developed building in the heart of Camden and has three separate rooms for the Babies, Toddlers and Pre-School spread out onto two floors with a spacious garden where children are able to explore nature and develop on their physical development through different sports.

Your will be required to work with children aged 3-5 years old on a rotating shift pattern from Monday to Friday and you will be responsible for providing children with educational activities to prepare them for their transition to Primary School.

Your role will include:

  • Providing a safe and secure environment for the children
  • Planning and preparing age appropriate activates in accordance with the EYFS
  • Carrying out daily observations to monitor the children’s developmental stages
  • Completing daily risk assessments
  • Building and maintaining strong relationship with parents and carers
  • Supporting the children with meal times
  • Participating in monthly trips

All candidates must have:

  • A NVQ Level 3 in Early Years and Education or Equivalent
  • At least 1 years experience with an Early Years Setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stages
  • Good understanding of the Key Worker system
  • Excellent communication skills
