Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has arisen in a purpose built Nursery based in Ashtead. This nursery is located within accessible transport links from Ashtead Station.

The nursery is looking for a Level 3 Nursery Nurse to join their team 40 hours a week, working with the under 2’s, with a salary of £18,500 - £19,000 per annum depending on experience. Your top priority is to ensure the health and safety of the children at all times. Other roles and responsibilities will include planning numerous activities based around the EYFS to meet the needs of each individual child to extend their learning and help them develop to the best of their ability.  

They are open from 08:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday, 52 weeks of the year. They accommodate 57 places for children aged 3 months – 4 Years. The Nursery has 4 rooms divided into different age groups, a Baby room, Toddler room, Infant room and Pre-school room in each room they provide age appropriate activities to enhance the children’s development. They have a large outside area which is fun & stimulating with a range of equipment for children to explore.  The nursery aims to provide high quality care for families to meet children’s individual learning needs through daily routines along with child led activities, the nursery provides a nurturing home from home environment

All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 years relevant experience working within an Early Years setting
  • Experience as a Nursery Nurse
  • Experience working with children aged 3 months – 4 Years
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
  • Great communication skills
