Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Nursery Nurse to work full time in a purpose built Nursery located in Pinner. The setting is operational 52 weeks of the year Monday – Friday from 08:00 to 18:00. It caters for up to 65 children aged 3 months to 5 years over 5 bright and spacious bright rooms.

The welfare of each child is paramount within this well respected and successful setting. The rooms are dedicated to particular age groups and the children also benefit from a lovely garden, an undercover all weather play area and a beautiful sensory room.

You will be placed within an age group according to your experience and the role will include Key Person responsibilities, observations and planning, maintaining Developmental Records and providing a safe and stimulating environment for all children. You will be required to work to high safeguarding standards including ensuring the health and safety of the children at all times.You will work a 40 hour week on a flexible shift pattern with one half day each week.

You will need:

  • An minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • A good working knowledge of the EYFS
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good initiative
  • At least one years experience within an Early Years setting

Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the health and safety of the children at all times
  • Observing and assessing children’s development and maintaining Developmental Records for your Key Children
  • Working in a team to plan and deliver high quality play experiences for the children to ensure they have the best opportunities to develop
  • Building and maintaining good quality relationships with parents
  • Sharing children’s progress with parents
  • Ensuring children’s routines are followed and supporting children with their care needs
  • Ensuring Nursery Policies and Procedures are followed at all times
