Are you an enthusiastic and self-motivated Nursery Nurse or Nursery Assistant? Then we have the perfect job for you!

 

Well established Nursery in Dulwich are looking for Nursery Nurses and Nursery Assistants to join their friendly team. The setting is operational Monday to Friday 08:00 - 18:00 and caters for 19 aged 3 months to years old for 52 weeks of the year. They also provide a breakfast and after school club for children aged 4-8 years during term time.

This purpose built building offers fully equipped spacious rooms for all children to explore and play in. Each room is set out with stimulating activities that are focused around the seven areas of learning to ensure that the children reach their next steps within their development. All children have access to the outdoor area which is rich with learning experiences that extend children’s development further.

You role will include:

You role will include:

  • Engaging with children in the different daily activities both inside and out
  • Supporting outside play in the garden
  • Supporting staff on daily outings with children
  • Carrying out fun engaging age appropriate group times
  • Supporting children during meal and snack times ensuring children practice good hygiene
  • Observing children and recording their development for all children’s profiles as well as your key children
  • Writing reports on the children’s development and next steps
  • Helping and supporting children with self-independence
  • Changing children’s nappies and addressing their personal care routines
  • Supporting staff and main room leader in the daily running of the room
  • Liaising with parents and carers on a daily basis with feedback about their child’s day

All candidate must have:

  • An NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • The desire to develop their career
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum and Safeguarding
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
