Nursery Assistant needed in Ealing

 Nursery situated in Ealing is looking for a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join their Pre-School room. The nursery is operational 51 weeks of the year and is closed a week at Christmas and Bank holidays. They are open Monday-Friday 08:00-18:00 and cater for 70 children aged between 3 months - 5 years old.

The Nursery is situated within a large building which is split over 3 floors with a large main playroom for the 3-5 aged children along with three separate rooms for the under 3 year olds. The Pre-School room is divided into separate areas that enables a lot of opportunity for the children to explore, They provide age appropriate resources which include a role play area, messy, creative and ICT areas. The Toddler room provides age appropriate resources with separate areas that enables learning opportunity to explore. The Baby room is divided into 2 different areas with a separate Milk Kitchen and sleep room. The nursery also offer extra-curricular activities such as Ballet and multi-sport activity, Music and Language lessons.

The role will be working with children ages 3 - 5 years old within the Pre-School room. The room caters for up to 24 children. You will have 6 key children and be responsible for completing their observations, planning and monitor their development through the tracking system.

Your role will include:

  • Ensuring all the children reach their highest potential throughout their development
  • Providing high quality care for the children within the setting
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with children and parents
  • Implementing the EYFS curriculum
  • Providing exciting activities for all the children
  • Completing observations, planning and any additional paperwork for your key children
  • Discussing the children’s progress with their parents or guardians
  • Following the nurseries policies and procedures throughout the setting
  • Ensuring the children have a safe and stimulating environment
  • Attending parent and staff meetings
  • Supporting children with additional needs and IEP
  • Assisting and supporting the children at meal times
  • Preparing the children for the transition to school
  • Developing the Children’s writing and Listening Skills
  • Completing the children’s progress trackers
  • Prepare the older children for the transition to school



All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 years relevant experience within the Early years setting
  • The ability to work in a team
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding
  • Experience with working with Pre-School aged children
  • Great verbal and communication skills
