Are you a Nursery Nurse with a passion for working with Children?

We are currently looking for a Nursery Nurse for a Nursery in Mitcham

Well established Nursery in Mitcham are currently recruiting for an experienced Nursery Nurse to join their team. The nursery is operational 51 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 6.30pm and can accommodate up to 15 children aged 3 months to 5 years.

This setting operates from a large hall enabling children of all ages to play and interact with one another and learn from their peers. The staff monitor children’s individual development and plan activities daily to promote their learning.  They combine children’s interest and needs to provide stimulating activities to further their growth. The nursery also provides a varied programme of extra activities including Tennis, Football, Gymnastics and Baby Pilates extending children’s physical development, social skills and learning through innovative activities.

The Nursery are currently looking for a passionate Nursery Nurse with experience of working with children aged 3 months to 5years to join them in supporting and promoting children’s learning and development.

Your role will include:

  • Following nappy changing policies and procedures and completing nappy charts
  • Handling and serving food
  • Encouraging and supporting children at meals times
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Being a designated key person for a group of children
  • Observing, planning and assessing to support and encourage children’s learning and development
  • Completing developmental reports
  • Providing high quality care for all children
  • Planning exciting and age appropriate activities in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Following the nurseries policies and procedures at all times
  • Carrying out daily risk assessments
  • Supporting and encouraging children’s development
  • Providing daily feedback for parents and carers
  • Attending and taking part in parents evenings
  • Managing dietary requirements in line with allergy policies

 

 

All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 year experience working within an Early Years setting
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • The ability to use your own initiative
  • A passion for working with children aged 3 months to 5 years old   
  • A drive to progress and develop your career
  • A passion for providing children the opportunity to learn and develop as they grow
