Are you a Nursery Nurse Looking for a new role?

Well established Nursery in Streatham is looking to recruit an experienced and passionate Nursery Nurse to join their setting. The Nursery is operational 51 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30 and can accommodate up to 38 children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The Nursery provides children with a secure and stimulating environment for them to learn and grow through play. Children’s learning in extended outdoors daily in the Nursery’s enclosed garden where they are encouraged to explore their environment building their sensory skills and physical development. They provide children with the opportunity to participate in various extra-curricular activities including dance and swimming lessons to support the development of creativity and valuable life skills in an exciting way.

The Setting is currently looking for a passionate Nursery Nurse with experience of working with children aged 0-5 years to work within their team supporting and encouraging children’s learning and development in accordance with the EYFS Curriculum.

Your role will include:

  • Providing high quality care for all children
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Being a designated key person for a group of children
  • Observing, planning and assessing to support and encourage children’s learning and development
  • Supporting and encouraging children’s development and completing developmental reports 
  • Attending and taking part in parents evenings
  • Planning exciting and age appropriate activities in line with the EYFS Curriculum
  • Following nappy changing policies and procedures and completing nappy charts
  • Handling and serving food Managing dietary requirements in line with allergy policies and Encouraging and supporting children at meals times
  • Providing daily feedback for parents and carers
  • Following the room routine
  • Following the Nurseries Policies and Procedures at all times
  • Carrying out daily risk assessments


All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 year experience working within an Early Years setting preferably with under 2’s
  • A passion for providing children the opportunity to learn and develop as they grow
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • The ability to use your own initiative
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum
  • A passion for working with children aged 0-4 years
  • A drive to progress and develop your career
