Are you a Nursery Nurse Looking for an exciting to role?

Nursery in Wandsworth are currently recruiting for a Nursery Nurse to become a part of their expanding team. This Setting is operational 50 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and can accommodate for up to 35 children from birth to 8 years.

The Nursery has three rooms specially equipped to suit children’s specific age ranges and developmental stages promoting growth and learning for children alongside their peers. They plan stimulating activities based on varied monthly themes, incorporating children’s current interests’ home experiences, cultural events and the EYFS Curriculum to support & further their development. The Nursery offers extra-curricular activities including yoga, drama, Makaton song time, musical movement and sports sessions providing the children the opportunity to learn through innovative and creative activities.

The Setting are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Nurse to join their team in implementing their curriculum and supporting the children’s learning and development. You will be a designated key worker for a group of children and work in partnership with their parents in line with the EYFS Curriculum to ensure they are achieving their developmental milestones.

Your role will include:

  • Following nappy changing policies and procedures and completing nappy charts
  • Following the nurseries policies and procedures at all times
  • Carrying out daily risk assessments
  • Completing developmental reports
  • Providing high quality care for all children
  • Working within a team
  • Providing daily feedback for parents and carers and attending and taking part in parents evenings
  • Handling and serving food, managing dietary requirements in line with allergy policies
  • Following the room routine and encouraging and supporting children at meals times
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Being a designated key person for a group of children and observing, planning and assessing to support and encourage their learning and development
  • Planning exciting and age appropriate activities in line with the EYFS curriculum to support and encourage children’s development

 

All candidates must have:

  • At least 1 year experience working within an Early Years setting
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • A drive to progress and develop your career
  • A passion for providing children the opportunity
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum
  • The ability to use your own initiative
  • A passion for working with children aged under 5 years old
