Job Description

Nursery situated in Willesden is looking for 2 Nursery Nurses to join their team. The Nursery is operational Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00 and cater for up to 63 children aged between 3 months – 5 years old.

The nursery is situated within a large converted building and has 2 main rooms. The baby room which caters for children aged 3 months to 2 years with a separate changing room, milk kitchen and larger area which is divided into smaller sections enabling the children to explore various areas of the EYFS, they also have a free flow to their own designated garden. The Pre – School room which caters for 2 – 5 year olds and ensure that they support all the children’s individual needs and help them to reach their highest potential throughout their learning and development.  They also have two separate rooms for Sensory play and Physical play along with a large garden to enable the children to explore different environments.

One position will be working with the under twos and the other one will be with the over twos. Your role is to ensure that each child has the care and attention to ensure that they are comfortable in their environment. You will need to make sure the paperwork and learning journeys for your key children are completed to ensure they reach their individual developmental milestones.

Your role will include:

  • Providing high quality care for the children within the Nursery
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Implementing the EYFS Curriculum daily
  • Providing exciting activities for all the children
  • Completing observations, planning and any additional paperwork
  • Discussing the children’s progress with their parents or guardians
  • Following the Nurseries policies and procedures throughout the Nursery
  • Ensuring the children have a safe and stimulating environment
  • Ensuring Hygiene standards are kept to a high level at all times
  • Completing daily risk assessment indoors and out
  • Attending parent and staff meetings
  • Completing 2 year checks
  • Assisting and supporting the children at meal times
  • Preparing the children for the transition to school
  • Developing the Children’s writing and Listening Skills
  • Ensuring Hygiene standards are kept to a high level at all times
  • Completing daily risk assessment indoors and out
  • Nappy changing and Potty training





All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 years relevant Early Years experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS & Safeguarding
  • Good verbal and written communication
