Job Description

Well-Established Day Nursery in Reigate are looking for passionate, caring Nursery Nurses to join their team. The setting is open Monday - Friday 07:30-18:00 for 52 weeks of the year and closed over Christmas.

The Nursery is set in a converted building and its’s experienced team prides itself on building strong relationships with both parents, carers to ensure all children develop to their full potential. They do this by carrying out regular observations to ensure that all activities are engaging and challenging.

The positions will be working with all ages from 3 months to 5 years ensuring that all rooms are run to a high standard and the children’s development and care routines are adhered to at all times. Each room is carefully equipped with age appropriate activities that reflect the EYFS Curriculum, to expand the children’s knowledge. All rooms have access to a large garden which is filled with rich learning experiences that enables the children to play and explore in all weathers.

Your role will include:

  • Engaging with children in the different daily activities both inside and out
  • Providing quality care  for all children
  • Carrying out fun and engaging age appropriate activities
  • Supporting staff on outings with children
  • Supporting children during meal and snack times making sure children practice good hygiene
  • Observing children and following their development for all children’s profiles as well as your own key children
  • Carrying out meetings with children’s parents regarding their child’s progress
  • Helping and supporting children with self-independence and potty training
  • Changing children’s nappies and addressing their personal care routines
  • Supporting staff and the room leader in the daily running of the room
  • Ensuring standards are met in line with Ofsted and Safeguarding regulations
  • Liaising with parents and carers on a daily basis with feedback about their child’s play
  • Understanding the individual needs and dietary requirements of all children

All candidates must have:

  • A Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 years’ experience of working within a Nursery setting
  • The desire to develop their career
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
