We are currently looking for a Nursery Nurse for a Nursery in Reigate

Well established Nursery in Reigate are currently recruiting for an experienced Nursery Nurse to become a member of their hard working team. The nursery is operational 51 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 6.00pm and can accommodate up to 104 children per day.

The nursery operates from a newly converted church in a residential area of Reigate, Surrey and has 3 main areas for pre-school, nursery and toddler aged children, as well as a separate baby centre for babies. Each room plans activities daily in line with the EYFS to promote and encourage children’s learning and development within their relevant age group. Children’s Learning is extended outdoors in their daily garden play where they are provided with various activities and equipment including cars and bikes to enhance their gross motor skills. Children also have the opportunity plant flowers and vegetables in the garden building on their knowledge and understand of the world.

They are currently looking for a Nursery Nurse to join their passionate team and work with them to provide a stimulating environment combining children’s interests and individual needs to promoting their learning and development and work in line with the Early Years Curriculum.

Your role will include:

  • Delivering childcare in a way that meets the parents needs and works in partnership with them
  • Attending and taking part in parents evenings
  • Completing developmental reports
  • Following the room routine
  • Following the nurseries Policies and procedures at all times
  • Carrying out Risk assessments daily
  • Working within a team
  • Providing High quality care for all children
  • Planning exciting and age appropriate activities in line with the EYFS curriculum
  • Showing initiative and creativity
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Being a designated key person for a group of children
  • Observing, Planning and assessing to support and encourage children’s learning and development
  • Providing daily feedback for parents and carers
  • Handling and serving food
  • Managing dietary requirements in line with allergy policies
  • Providing safe, high quality education and care for young children which meets their individual needs
  • Participating in Care routines  


All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 year experience working within an Early Years setting
  • Good working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to use your own initiative
  • A passion for working with children from birth to 5 years
  • A drive to progress and develop your career
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
