Job Description

The Nursery is situated in Hounslow and is operational 51 weeks of the year and are open Monday-Friday 07:30-18:30 catering for 60 children aged between 0-5 years.

The setting is purpose built and has 4 rooms. The rooms provides lots of age appropriate resources to stimulate their ever expanding minds, they also have a large garden which has various flooring, a planting area along with a variety of outdoor toys to enable the children to experience different environments.

The Positions will be working with children aged between 3 months – 2 years old within the Baby room, ensuring that the room is run to a high standard and assisting the staff within the room. You will be responsible for 8 key children and will need to monitor the children’s progress using the EYFS Curriculum to ensure they are reaching their developmental stages.

Your role will include:

  • Providing high quality care for all children within the setting
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Implementing the EYFS Curriculum
  • Completing observations, planning and any additional paperwork
  • Assisting and supporting other staff within the room
  • Discussing the children’s progress with their parents or guardians
  • Following the nurseries policies and procedures throughout the setting
  • Completing daily risk assessments within the room and the garden
  • Ensuring the children have a safe and stimulating environment
  • Attending parent and staff meetings
  • Supporting children with additional needs and IEP’s
  • Supporting the youngest children with weaning
  • Developing their Physical development by supporting and walking
  • Carrying out sensory activities

 

 

All candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • At least 1 years relevant Early Year’s experience
  • The ability to lead a team (Room Leader only)
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS Curriculum & Safeguarding policies
  • Good verbal and written communication
