Are you an Experienced Room Leader living near Dulwich?

Do you want a new and exciting permanent position in this area? Immediate start?

If so we can help, we are currently recruiting on behalf of an Outstanding Nursery looking for 2 permanent Room Leaders to join their well-established team. The Room Leader posts are for the Baby Room & the Main Room.

This Setting is inside a detached Victorian House and is open Monday to Friday from 07:30-18:30, 50 weeks of the year for children aged 3 months - 5 years and has places for up to 40 children a day. This setting has 2 dedicated age-appropriate rooms which are free-flow. They have their own indoor and outdoor play area in their own grounds with a wonderful garden. The Nursery is easily accessible by bus and train, and is within walking distance to the local station and amenities.

Your role will include:

  • Ensuring all the children reach their highest potential throughout their development
  • Providing high quality care for the children within the setting
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with children and parents, attending parent and staff meetings
  • Implementing the EYFS curriculum, Completing observations, planning and any additional paperwork for your key children
  • Supporting children with additional needs and IEP’s
  • Ability to work well within a team

All candidates must have:

  • Either an NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Childcare and Education
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, Statutory Requirements and Ofsted Standards
  • Excellent Knowledge of Safeguarding and child protection
  • A strong understanding of child development
  • A passion for working with the under-fives
  • Previous experience as a Room Leader or in a similar role
  • Ability to support children in becoming independent learners
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to use your own initiative
  • An understanding of all nursery duties
  • Outstanding time keeping and attendance record
  • A positive & friendly nature
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
